We are excited to kick off the Night Ski season early this year! Tonight marks the earliest start to night asking in Mission Ridge's 59-year history.
Most groomed runs firmed up overnight and may soften throughout the day. Night skiing opens up tonight under a mostly clear, if a little chilly, sky.
With cold temperatures overnight, the grooming team has worked hard to groom yesterday's precipitation into a smooth, edgeable surface. Looks like a great day to rip some fast runs!
The wild winter weather continues this morning. After an amazing day yesterday with over 8" of new snow over the day yesterday, we've seen a significant warm-up in the early morning hours today (Wednesday).
The next round of storms has arrived, and we are looking forward to the possibility of free refills today! The forecast calls for 5 to 9 inches during the day today, with another 1 to 3 inches possible tonight. December 16th, 17th, and 18th weren't originally planned to be open days, but this tremendous start to the season rolls on, and we are cited for some bonus powder-filled operations this week! Look for surface conditions to vary throughout the course of the day depending on when the snow starts falling and how much stacks up.
It's awesome out there! Groomers are soft and topped with a layer of fresh fluff, and off-piste areas have 5 inches of new snow and counting.
