Sweet Corduroy This Morning

Posted on March 15th, 2014

Warm temps and great spring conditions will be on a “spring break” starting this weekend. Winter looks to have a little bit of play left in it, with slightly cooler temps and chances of snow forecast over the next week.

Partly sunny, with a high near 37. South wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph possible at times on the Summit. There is also a 30 percent chance of snow after 11 a.m..

Chairlifts in Operation

All chairs in operation today, as well as the Pika Peak and #100LAPS rope tows.

95 percent of our trails are open, with Skookum and Tillikum runs closed for the Western Region Open FIS Race. Check out the grooming report for full details on groomed runs and open terrain.

Surface Conditions

A trace of new snow during the day yesterday, and cooler overnight temps, have the upper mountain groomed runs coming out real nice this morning. Nice and firm surfaces in the morning will soften over the course of the day. The best morning corduroy will be found on the a.m. groomed runs off of Chair 2.

Off-piste conditions will start out rather firm and become more variable depending on accumulation of new snow and traffic.

Ski and ride with care as unmarked obstacles do exist. Always enjoy the mountain with a partner to share the fun and stay safe.
