Sunny And Cooler Today

Posted on March 17th, 2014

Mostly sunny, with a steady temperature around 25 degrees. Northwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph possible at times on the Ridge. There is also a 20 percent chance of snow showers before 11am, but I expect to see more sun than snow today.

Chairlifts in Operation

Chairs 1, 2, and 3 in operation today, as well as the Pika Peak and #100LAPS rope tows.

95 percent of our trails are open, with Skookum and Tillikum runs closed for the Western Region Open FIS Race. Check out the grooming report for full details on groomed runs and open terrain.

Surface Conditions

Overnight temps were 10-15 degrees cooler than yesterday. Expect surfaces to have firmed up significantly. You will want to hit up the a.m. groomed runs off of Chair 2 first thing this morning for the softest corduroy.

Off-piste conditions across the mountain softened up nicely yesterday. Cold overnight temps will have anything off the groom rather firm again today. I do not expect that temps will get high enough to soften them up much over the course of the day.

Ski and ride with care as unmarked obstacles do exist. Always enjoy the mountain with a partner to share the fun and stay safe.
