Sun Is Out, 6" In 24

Posted on March 29th, 2014

We received another 1” of new snow overnight for a total of 6" in the last 24 hours. Things are shaping up nicely for an awesome day of skiing, riding, racing, and dummy jumping!

Snow showers likely, mainly after 11am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph possible at times on the Summit. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Chairlifts in Operation

All chairs in operation today, as well as the Pika Peak and #100LAPS rope tows.

Check out the grooming report for full details on groomed runs and open terrain

Surface Conditions

All the fresh snow has the groomed runs looking super sweet this morning. Corduroy off of Chair 3 will be a little firmer than the rest, but still in great skiing and riding condition.

Off-piste conditions have definitely benefited from the new snow. There are still plenty of fresh lines to be had this morning. Do be careful though, as it is easy to break through the fresh down to the hard pack.

Ski and ride with care as unmarked obstacles do exist. Always enjoy the mountain with a partner to share the fun and stay safe.

Dummy Downhill: A Mission Ridge Institution that is all about high flying, hard crashing, and creativity.

Squirrel Cup: Super G Saturday (age appropriate with a super low start), Dual Slalom Sunday for competitors age 14 and under.
