Calmer Winds, Comfy Temps, Killer Surface Conditions

Posted on February 22nd, 2014

Excellent surface conditions will put a smile on your face to start the weekend.  No new snow, but we’re on the edge of the next February storm that should deliver several inches by Monday.

Snow likely this afternoon, otherwise mostly cloudy with a high near 22 degrees. Winds should be calm near the Base Area and moderate (20-30 mph) at the Summit.

Chairlifts in Operation

All chairs in operation, as well as the Pika Peak and #100LAPS Rope Tows.

New Terrain

100 percent of our trails are now open with most of them groomed.  Check out the grooming report for full details on open terrain.

Surface Conditions

Surface conditions were awesome yesterday and we expect to see more of the same today. Groomed runs will be well set up and super carvable this morning. Turns made off the groomed surfaces will be softer than expected, especially given the high winds of a couple of days ago.  There is still a good amount of lightly tracked off-piste areas waiting for your signature turns.

Ski and ride with care as unmarked obstacles do exist. Always enjoy the mountain with a partner to share the fun and stay safe.
