The official start to spring has brought near summer-like temperatures to the mountain. Before a potential return to winter conditions this weekend, we have another evening of warm temps forecast for Wednesday night (3/26). Along with the warm temperatures is a forecast for considerable rain. With the potential for up to a quarter inch of rain tonight, we anticipate limited grooming to be available for the day on Thursday, March 27th. There is also the possibility of terrain closures due to the conditions, and if deemed necessary to preserve the snowpack on specific runs for the remainder of the season.
Cooler temps look to return at upper elevations as we hit the weekend, and there is snow, potentially significant amounts, forecast for the start of April. We’ve been enjoying the warm, sunny spring days and will be ready to take advantage of a last shot of winter to round out the 2024/25 season.
