10:30 Conditions Update:Â I broke out the t-shirt for the first time this season (other than an ill-advised Beach Day shenanigan last week), and it sure felt nice! Temperatures are balmy and the snow is softening up nicely into a classic Mission Ridge spring day under partly sunny skies. If you’re looking to get a couple more laps in on the crisper snow, stick to shady or recently-shady areas (typically the right side of runs at The Ridge), but we’re well on our way to spring conditions across the mountain. It’s shaping up into a wonderful afternoon with fantastic views, comfortable conditions, and lots of corn to play around in!
9:20 Operations Update: Chair 4 is now open.
8:45 Operations Update: Chair 4 will start the day on a conditions hold as we complete grooming operations.
6:30 Conditions Report:Â Another beautiful spring day is upon us, with sunny skies and warm temperatures combining to create ideal conditions to spend some time on the mountain! We can expect a high of around 50, so it’ll be a great day to bring up your light layers and drink in the views in the comfortable weather. Conditions will start the day firm both on- and off-piste; however, things will be well on their way toward softening up by midmorning. Get up here early if you want to dig into some firm, technical groomers, or if you’d prefer to play around in the spring conditions, you’ll have the whole rest of the day to do so! The lowest elevation areas along with south-facing slopes will be the first to soften, but we’ll be enjoying spring conditions across the mountain by midday.
Expect limited grooming today due to warm overnight temperatures that remained above 40 across all elevations. When temps stay as high as they did last night, it is difficult for the groomers to get out on the mountain without potentially doing more harm to the runs than good. Groomed runs today will be Mimi, Strawberry Shortcut, Pika Peak, the lower half of Tumwater, Sun Spot, Katsuk, Bomber Access Road, Boundary Road, Windy Ridge Road, Kiwa, Skookum, Toketie, Sitkum, Slip, lower Chak Chak, and Castle.
Don’t forget that Season Pass sales start on 3/27! Current Season pass holders can renew through midnight TONIGHT and receive a renewal discount! *Renewal discount only valid for current 24/25 Premier, Core Value, Midweek, and Twilight Passholders.
See you on the mountain!
