10:00 Conditions Report:Â Snow conditions are a lot of fun right now, with soft, wet snow that’s forgiving to play around in. Groomers are holding just enough firmness to maintain good edge control, but it’s also easy to slash up some slush if you’re feeling in the mood! It would be hard to find softer and more forgiving off-piste conditions than today, so it could be a great chance to work your way into the steeps or the bumps; however, I’d definitely recommend stopping by the rental shop for a quick belt wax if you’re planning to do any traversing, since it can get pretty slow in the flats. A light mist is currently falling in the base area while the summit is dry for the moment. Temperatures are warm and springy, in the low 40s near the base. We can expect light rain to taper off as we continue into the afternoon. It’s shaping up into a really fun day on the slopes!
6:30 Conditions Report:Â Happy Monday! We’re expecting comfortable temperatures and some breeze and precipitation across the mountain. My prescription is lightly tinted goggles and a soft shell to keep you cruising comfortably all day. Above freezing conditions are starting the day today across the mountain, so anticipate soft groomers that you can really sink your edges into. I’m not really sure how this will affect off-piste conditions, so I’m stoked to find that out once the lifts start spinning. We saw some rain in the base area and likely across the mountain overnight. Conditions will be wet and variable depending on elevation and exposure. It’s going to be a great day to start really piling up that mileage!
