10:00 Conditions Update: A hint of sun is peeking through some wispy clouds overhead to illuminate another day of sweeping vistas and tons of space to explore on the mountain. Conditions are variable as the firm snowpack softens during the day. Morning-groomed runs and southerly aspects are in the softest condition at the moment, with some chattery snow surfaces elsewhere for now. Temperature are mild, which will make for a pleasant day to drink in these valley views. The Special Olympics is now in its final day; it’s another great chance to support these athletes and cheer them on as they collect their awards in the Base Area this afternoon. Chairs will be spinning till 4pm tonight; we’re excited to see you out there!
6:30 Conditions Report: We’re ready to finish off the weekend right here at The Ridge, with a fun-filled Sunday awaiting. We can expect crisp groomers in the morning while the off-piste areas will start the day off firm, with temperatures dropping just below freezing at the summit overnight. As the morning warms up, both on- and off-piste areas will soften up over time; we can expect a high temperature in the low 40s. With some clouds overhead today, softening may occur a bit more slowly than it has the past couple days, so seek out those low-elevation areas and southerly aspects if conditions are variable. It’ll be a pleasant day to come up and enjoy some expansive views with the family!
