10:00 Conditions Report: The horizons are long in all directions today and the sun brings joy to every run it touches. The groomers are skiing well, and off-piste hosts packed powder which is my favorite snow quality because it give you a bit of friction with out trying to eat your skis. I bet you could find some stashes out there if you know where to look, but conditions are variable so make sure to feel out your tracks before committing to your line. Conditions are calm and bright across the mountain, so if you’re looking for something to do before the world’s shortest St. Patrick’s Day parade (not affiliated), keep on the green kitsch for the first day of Spirit Week and cruise at The Ridge!
6:30 Conditions Report: Clear skies and comfortable temps are in the forecast for today! Expect smooth groomers and a little breeze to complement the views from the summit. It stayed pretty cold at higher and middle elevations, so there’s still stashes of snow to be found off piste. Temperatures were at freezing or below overnight, and I anticipate a supportive base with more firm but still edgeable base at lower elevations that should relax as the day progresses. It’s a great day for a little vitamin ski!
See you on the mountain!
