12/8 Conditions Report

9:30 Conditions Update: The weather is continuing to clear, and it’s getting sunnier! Thanks to the wind overnight, we’ve got a diverse array of conditions on the slopes. If you’re looking for some smooth cruisers, the morning-groomed trails offer what you’re seeking. Off-piste and night-groomed terrain is fairly firm, but look along the edges of runs to find areas of wind drift for some playful turns. It’s a beautiful day; have fun and stay safe!

8:00 Conditions Update: It’s beginning to clear up, with clouds lifting to above Midway and a hint of sunshine striking the slopes above the Hampton Lodge. More snow is still possible in the forecast, but it’s currently trending toward a clear, bright day with a bit of new snow! Winds are also trending lower over the last couple hours.

6:30 Conditions Report: Snow is falling once more here at The Ridge! A playful Sunday is on the cards, with half an inch of new snow falling overnight and another 1-2 inches forecasted for today. This will make for soft turns and help the grooming team craft some excellent snow surfaces! We experienced gusty winds from the west overnight, which will result in variable snow depths and may load some leeward areas. Winds are forecasted to calm down over the course of the day today. Visibility is currently limited due to falling and blowing snow, but it is likely to improve throughout the day. We’re glad to be getting a quick refresh and are looking forward to an active forecast this week!

See you on the mountain!

Early season conditions exist. Low coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety.

That being said, we have a great terrain selection due to our near-record November snowfall. A majority of lift-serviced runs will be open, and the Mountain Ops team has been hard at work to get your favorite groomers in prime condition. For a full grooming report, click here.

**Anticipated open runs. Run status may change at any time. Additional terrain will open as conditions permit.
