Snowboarder descending the Nertz ski trail at Mission Ridge on a powder day.

12/14 Conditions Report

12pm Parking Update: Spots are opening up in the Main Base Area parking lots.

9:50am Parking Update: Main Base Area lots are filling up. We will be shuttling from lots lower down the road up to the Base Area.

9:30 Conditions Update: YEEWW! It’s an epic day at The Ridge with plenty of new powder gracing the slopes! There’s 7 inches of fresh snow out there, with deeper drifts in places and a few wind-scoured areas on the upper mountain. Since much of the snow fell earlier in the night, the grooming team had a chance to work the new snow into the corduroy on the lower slopes, so the AM-groomed runs are also skiing super well. Whether you’re looking to tear into those fresh stashes or lap some groomers, we’ve got what you’re looking for today! Visibility is good on the lower 2/3 of the mountain by now; the summit currently remains foggy but will hopefully continue to clear throughout the afternoon.

Early Morning Report: We’ve woken up to 7 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours! Today is gonna be truly awesome, with nearly all our terrain open to spread out and revel in the fresh powder. This round of storms is tapering off, with the forecast calling for clearing skies throughout the day. We’ll be spinning all our chairs and can’t wait to get out there! The positive forecast continues over the next several days, with mostly sunny skies tomorrow as we clean up the leftovers before another storm hits on Monday.

Stoke levels will be sky-high today (for good reason!), but please do remember that early season conditions still exist in some places.

See you on the mountain!
