Monday Forecast

Get ready for another awesome one! After receiving more snow last night things just keep getting better up here. We received five inches of light dry powder yesterday and it looks like more is on the way for today. Whatever happens it’s going to be a great day out there. Winds are expected to gust moderately high so come prepared for some gusty conditions. Due to high winds last night wind loaded terrain will exist out there, use extra caution in these areas as conditions could be variable. In conclusion I don’t think it will be a typical Monday. See you on the slope! -Connor

Sunday Forecast

11am Update: It has been absolutely dumping up here this morning! With 1-2" of new snow since the lifts open at 9am and no end in sight. The conditions are really fun and just keep getting better as the snow piles up! **We will be open Monday 3/14 and Thursday 3/17 this week** What a day we have in the forecast today! Winter has been switched back on for now so come enjoy it while it’s here. Snow levels have dropped and we are in for a nice spring treat, powder! The snow is expected to last all day and continue into tomorrow morning which will make for a pretty special Monday as well.  Southwest winds today could help create some deeper stashes on chair 3 and chair 4 terrains but all in all the skiing should get awesome everywhere as things stack up. Surface conditions could be slightly variable in the morning but after a few inches of snow everything should be pretty smooth. Powder Sunday here we come! See you on the slope! -Connor

Saturday Forecast

11:10am Update: Chair 3 is now loading! We have all chairs in operation and the conditions today have been nice on the groomed runs and suprisingly good in a number of off-piste areas. 9:10am Update: The Lift Maintenance crew is still working on the issue on Chair 3 and it will not be open to start the day. It will open as soon as possible. We will update this report as more information becomes available. The weekend is here and with it comes a little fresh snow! We picked up an inch overnight mountain wide, all your favorite slopes from the base area up to windy ridge have a fresh new layer that should help rejuvenatte the variable snow we have had the past few days on the middle and lower portions of the mountain. Low winds and low temps should keep everything riding extra nice throughout today and hopefully the sun will surprise us this afternoon. Surface conditions currently are a slightly moist soft snow that has a medium density; higher elevation slopes should be slightly drier. Lift Mechanics are working to diagnose an issue on Chair 3 and we hope to have it open by 9am. All things considered it should be a pretty fun day out there today! See you on the slope! -Connor

Friday Forecast

9:35am Update: The groom came out really nice this morning. The groomed runs off of Chair 2 are firmer but still edge-able, the runs off of Chair 3 are softer and nice and carvable. Off-piste at the very top of the mountain is still in pretty good shape but you don’t want to venture into untracked off-piste on the lower 3/4 of the mountain today.   Colder overnight temps have the groom, especially on Chair 3 terrain, coming out pretty nicely this morning. Off-piste areas at the top of the mountain and those lower on the mountain that got tracked up yesterday should be enjoyable today. Other off-piste will continue to be variable. Expect mostly sunny skies to become mostly cloudy by mid-day, light winds, and a chance of more snow for your Friday. See you on the hill, -Tony

Thursday Update

While the conditions coming off the very top of the mountain are almost as good as expected (about the top quarter), last night’s wind and lower elevation rain built up a considerable crust layer that make things more challenging for most skiers and riders and extremely variable overall. We work very hard to give you realistic expectations for the days conditions with the early morning snow report. Some days you just miss it on the snow report and today is one of those days. Conditions out there are not as expected early this morning, in some areas not even close to expected. But ultimately if you are fortunet enough to have skies or a board on your feet I truly do believe it is a good day. Having a great day out on the mountain is often as much about the fun that you bring to combined with what the conditions give you. See you out on the hill, *Photo: Scott Ptolemy -Tony

10"+ New Snow Overnight

We received 10" of new snow overnight for a total of over 13" of new snow since the lifts stopped Sunday afternoon. Expect some awesome powder turns coming off the top of the mountain today with somewhat more variable turns by the time you get  back to the Base Area. We did receive some rain in the Lower Basin (below Lower Tumwater) on top of that new snow in the very early hours of the morning, but the snow in the Upper Basin remains in great condition. Look to find some sweet DEEP stashes out there today! With partly sunny skies and comfy temps, we are ready to have a blast on this early March Powder Thursday! See you on the hill, -Tony
