10:00 Conditions Update:Â I almost have nothing to say; this pow speaks for itself. It’s like carving through a cloud the way the fresh white billows away from your skis. You can drop your edges deep and barely feel the base. The groomers are curing nicely from the snowfall over the past few days. Off-piste is sweet, with that classic desert dry blanketing the landscape. Conditions can be variable, so make sure to feel out your line before diving right in. What are you waiting for?
6:30 Conditions Report: When I saw the amount of snow piled on the road at Squilchuck, my jaw dropped. There was a big dump overnight and I’m excited to get out there and ride it! Expect diffuse light, comfortable temperatures, and a breeze. Conditions were cold overnight so the snow is light and fluffy, but the base area temperature is predicted to get above freezing, so lower elevations may thicken and slow throughout the day. Off-piste has been rehabbing well and should ski well, but beware of variable conditions. It’s shaping up to be a great day, so get out and ride the weekend out!
