10:00 Conditions Update: The sun arrived a bit earlier than anticipated and lit up the sweet layer of white coating the slopes. Visibility across the valley is ace, while the clouds are still clearing at the top. The groomers are creamy and edgeable with the late-night groomed trails having a bit more accumulation to add some fun to your runs. Off-piste is recuperating well but remains variable. The fresh is just deep enough to insulate your skis against the firm base and give you a little something bouncy to play with. Make sure to feel out your tracks before you dive right in. Grab your hunnies and swing by the slopes to explore this bluebird day on Mission Ridge!
6:30 Conditions Report: It’s St. Valentine’s day and we’re falling in love with this new snow. A fluffy dusting fell overnight, with a little more expected to come down this morning. The sun is expected to help us celebrate this holiday in the afternoon. Comfortable temperatures and a little breeze are in the forecast as well. Our grooming team is out on the slopes setting some smooth cords for your boards in yesterday’s accumulation, but between you and me, I prefer the PM groomers to take advantage of the fluffy snow that has christened the cords. I’m excited for this fresh white to rehab our off-piste areas, which are a mix of firm base, packed powder, and some secret stashes to explore. It’s going to be a magical day on the mountain no matter if you decide to join us in the morning to find those fresh snow turns, or in the evening for Night Skiing to savor a romantic sunset at the summit.
