10:00 Conditions Update:Â Flurries and sun intermingle on the mountain as our community enjoys a great start to Sunday, with smooth conditions on the groomers and some soft leftovers to enjoy off-piste. For those willing to make the trek, there are still first tracks to be had out in the bowls and other less-trafficked areas. We can expect weather conditions to remain similar throughout the day, and for those of you who aren’t sports fans, it’s a great chance to head up this afternoon to enjoy plenty of room, good conditions, and no lines. We hope you have a great day!
6:30 Conditions Report:Â A super Sunday is on the rise here at the Ridge! We’ve received a trace of new snow in the last 24 hours and are looking forward to a mostly sunny day with cool temps in the mid-teens. The groomed runs should be super sweet and smooth as we slide on through the second half of the weekend. Conditions off of the groomed runs will vary, and you can expect a mix of powder, packed powder, and areas of firm snow. There are still plenty of soft stashes to be found for the more experienced and adventurous snowboarders and skiers. Also, we’ll let you in on a little secret – with all the excitement around the Super Bowl, today is one of the best days of the season to hit the slopes. At times, it might feel like you have the mountain to yourself! The Chair 5 pub will be playing the game until halftime for those interested in catching last chair before kickoff.
Operations Message Regarding Chair 4 on 2/8/25: At approximately 2:55 p.m. on February 8, 2025, an unoccupied chair on Chair 4 at Mission Ridge detached from the haul rope after making contact with a lift tower due to chair swing. The detached chair landed on the ground in an area where no guests or staff were present. There were no injuries associated with this incident.
The safety of our guests and staff remains our highest priority. Mission Ridge’s Lift Maintenance team promptly conducted a thorough inspection of the lift, confirming that the haul rope sustained no damage. Chair 4 remained in operation for the remainder of the day. We are coordinating with the appropriate state and federal regulatory agencies to review the incident in accordance with all applicable safety and operational standards.
