A scenic view of a lush green valley blanketed with vibrant yellow wildflowers under a clear blue sky. Tall pine trees dot the rolling hills, and distant mountain ranges are visible on the horizon.

One For The Outdoors

What is One for the Outdoors?

One for the Outdoors is a voluntary donation program that local businesses choose to participate in. You, the Mission Ridge guest, have a choice to donate to this program to help care for and improve our outdoor recreation resources in North Central Washington. Funds collected through the program will be distributed through grantmaking by an advisory committee to organizations and local agencies positioned to make a positive impact on outdoor recreation. The program is overseen by TREAD, a Wenatchee based non-proffit that works to enhance and protect sustainable outdoor recreation in NCW. For more about TREAD, visit thier website.

What does my donation to One for the Outdoors support?

Broadly, your donation to the One for the Outdoors program will benefit outdoor recreation resources in a variety of ways:

  • Support for acquisition of new parks, open space, or trail corridors.
  • Development or renovation of outdoor recreation infrastructure, such as trailheads and trails.
  • Mitigation for user impacts on natural resources through restoration activities.
  • Operating support for land and recreation managers to respond to unique demands on capacity related to increasing use.
