12/16 Conditions Report

9:30 Conditions Update: It’s awesome out there! Groomers are soft and topped with a layer of fresh fluff, and off-piste areas have 5 inches of new snow and counting. It’s uncrowded; in fact, I was unable to get a Daily Photo of ungroomed terrain because I couldn’t find anyone! I stood on Nertz with the camera out for 20 minutes and didn’t see a single soul, so I gave up. If you’ve got the day off, it’s a perfect day to head up for the afternoon.

8:30 Conditions Update: It’s continuing to pile up out there! We’re up to 5″ at Midway and the summit; 3″ in the base area. Snow should continue till around noon.

6:30 Conditions Report: Winter Break might be starting for some of you, but Mother Nature is showing no signs of letting up! It’s currently dumping here at The Ridge, with 2 inches already on the ground as of 6am and several more forecasted throughout the day. Conditions should be really nice, with falling temperatures and fairly light winds making for pretty high snow quality atop the remnants from this weekend’s storm. Expect uncrowded slopes and lots of terrain to enjoy! Groomed runs will likely be blanketed with a bit of fresh powder by the time the mountain opens today.

The next wave hits tomorrow, with 1-3 inches forecasted overnight and another 3-7 inches projected during the day on Tuesday.

See you on the mountain!
