Cold temps and calmer winds returned to the mountain on Tuesday the 5th, and the MRSM crew was able to fire guns from the summit to the base for the first time this season! The favorable conditions led to good production (a lot of snow stacking up) into the evening of the 5th and the early morning of the 6th. Warmer air began to creep up the valley as sunrise approached, leading to guns needing to be shut down slowly from the summit to the Upper Basin (upper half of Chair 2 terrain) by the time the sun made its appearance. The forecast calls for temps to cool as we approach the weekend, with chances of snow returning on Saturday.
