10am Update: It’s a great day out on the mountain! Temps are cool, but if you dress for success, it’s plenty comfy out there. Surface conditions trend to the firmer side but are still very carvable this morning. Off-piste conditions near the top of Chair 2, especially on the skier’s right of the chair, are better than expected, with a little soft snow on top of a firm crust. Look for things to become more variable throughout the course of the day, and remember, we close at 2pm today and re-open at 11am tomorrow to allow our staff to spend a little more time with their families this holiday season.
Early Morning Report: A cool, calm, Christmas Eve is here, and we’re ready to go skiing! We are open today from 9am to 2pm to allow our staff to spend a little more time with their families this holiday season. We will then open tomorrow, 12/25, from 11 am to 4pm.
Temps cooled significantly last night and are just now starting to warm back up as of the six o’clock hour. While we haven’t received any new snow in the last 48 hours, our snowmaking team has been working hard to refresh some of the runs. Look for surface conditions to vary today from firm conditions in places to softer, slower snow in areas with recent or active snowmkaing. Additionally, some new terrain is opening for the first time this season. Off-piste conditions, or conditions off the groomed runs, will be extremely variable and likely firm today. The best bet for the best Christmas Eve turn will be to stick to the groomed runs.
*Early season conditions exist. Low coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures, as they are there for your safety.*
If you are still looking for a couple of last-minute gifts, stop by the retail shop where we have a great stocking stuffer gift pack, or purchase $100 in mountain money and receive a free Night Skiing lift ticket.
